Willi and Friends
Originally published May 9, 2025
My Disney College Program was originally slated to end on May 15th, but I extended my program and I’ll be frolicking in fantasyland until early 2026. Most of the friends I’ve made though, are leaving this week. The self-proclaimed “DCP Baddies,” consist of me and the girls I met my first week here, during orientations. Most of us are leaving on Wednesday, so I wanted to take the time to introduce you all to them.
The DCP Baddies!
Tehya
Tehyalani Skye is the very first person I connected with on my program. We met on Instagram and had originally planned on rooming together. When we arrived, we had the same “Making the Most of your Program” class, and that’s where we officially met, and where we met the rest of the DCP Baddies. She worked at Creature Comforts, a.k.a the Starbucks at animal kingdom. She’s from L.A., and she got me heavily into pin trading.
Victoria (Roomie)
Victoria and I moved into together. She lives on the other side of our apartment and she’s always here for me. She’s from Virginia and she dreams of building rollercoasters. We decorated our space to have late night laughs about guests she drives on the Disney Springs boats along the sassagoula river. She’s the first person I’ve lived with besides my family, and our apartment is going to be a little smaller without our boat captain.
Moni Moni
Monica and I had our first day of work together, a.k.a Traditions, even though she worked in Africa at Animal Kingdom, doing food and beverage. She’s from San Diego and I aspire to be just like her. Visiting her in Africa was always the highlight of my off days, and when I go to Las Vegas she’s going to show me how to win big. She’s also a program rep, so if you see her at a tabling at SDSU, tell her I said hi.
Victoria (from texas)
Victoria and I are the only two staying for a full year, so we’re in this together. She’s from Texas, of course, and we love to laugh about Benson Boone after watching him backflip at the Grammys together. She works as a PhotoPass photographer in Hollywood Studios, arguably the coolest job out of all of us. We like the same music and will eat up a Fantasmic show whenever we can, and luckily we’ve got 8 more months to do so.
Ange
Angely came into our lives a bit later, but it feels like she’s always been with us. She’s from Los Angeles, and when she moved in with me and Victoria, we were an instant family. She’s a concierge at the Coronado Springs resort, which I personally think is perfect because she has a degree in hospitality. She’s the funniest person I know and every morning she walks into my room and says “good morning princess.” She leaves in July.
So those are my friends!!! I’ve never met a group of girls that I connected with so immediately, naturally, and intensely. I have sisters for life, and I know that no matter where we all end up, we will always have these together months we spent together. Soon enough, we’ll all take on Disneyland together, and maybe eventually the DCP Baddies will reach every WDW resort around the world. I love you guys. I wish they didn’t have to leave, but I’m so lucky to wish so.
With love, Willianny
