Happy February!!!! It’s been so long since we’ve talked- so let’s catch up a little bit.

I’ve been living and working at Walt Disney World for a month and some change. I love it so much that I submitted my extension application for my program, fingers crossed I get put through and don’t get my role changed. My role (fantasyland merchandise) was my dream role and it’s everything I hoped it would be. I love everyone I’ve met, my training group quickly became some of my closest friends here, and being a princess-in-training is, in my personal and humble opinion, the best role out of all of them (and we have the costumes to prove it).

That being said, I’m pretty settled in and ready to get back to it! If you remember my resolutions from January, I told myself I would upload two blog posts a month, but I’ve decided to alter that (and some other goals- we’ll get into that another day) and write each Sunday. So, 4-5 a month instead. Roughly, it’ll go like this:

First Sunday: Some sort of creative writing piece.

Second Sunday: A conversation with a friend!

Third Sunday: Something I learned about or made (or both).

Fourth Sunday: A recap and what I’m looking forward to next month!

Fifth Sunday! I’ll figure it out when I get there !!

With one Sunday left in February, my goal is to make some updates and changes to my resolutions and share those with you all this Sunday, and start on my new self-appointed schedule in March. I want to be really intentional with how I’m spending my time here when I’m not playing fairy princess, and I want to come back to my little passion project with a new set of eyes (is that a phrase? I don’t think so).

PS, I deactivated the Funky Giraffes instagram. With the update, it made me really upset that the square layout I meticulously planned out every post was lost. I hated to look at it, it made me so mad, and no one needs that kind of energy, yknow? Besides, I didn’t really need it anyway! It was just something fun to add to, and took some focus away from the website itself. There’s a little subscribe button you can click if you used instagram to keep up with new stories and tidbits 🙂
